Newen - positive energy caller (kultrun)

The Newen it’s a spiritual force that protects us, gives us company and connects us with the cosmovision. These rattle little statues, made out of ceramic, represent the Newenes and their sounding contribution allows them to be seen as genuine positive energy callers.
In the beginning of the Ranquel tribe ceremonies, the Machii or spiritual guide summons the Newenes and asks them for protection and health of all communities. Each figure portrays the participants of the ceremony: the tribute bowl, the Kultrun (drums), the Trutruka (horn) and the Pilfica (flute).
